Biography
Jillian “JJ” Jewett is an associate in Brouse McDowell’s Health Care practice group. She focuses her practice on health care law, including policy formation and implementation, contractual matters, physician and patient-related issues, and statutory and regulatory compliance.
JJ graduated summa cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law. During law school, JJ was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and an Associate Editor of the Akron Law Review. Committed to civic engagement and pro bono work, she participated in Akron Law's Clemency Project and Reentry Clinic, which was recognized by the American Association of Law Schools as an "Innovative and Outstanding Program." In recognition of her academic performance, JJ received three CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for Evidence, Health Law, and Remedies.
JJ earned her BA in Secondary Education, with a second major in English, from the University of Akron, graduating summa cum laude. A former Ohio educator and lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio, JJ has been active in the greater Akron community. Before attending law school, she spent six years coaching high school girls' soccer, and she continues to volunteer with Community Legal Aid.
